  Kids in hospital, JW family still shuns.

  it was an awful weekend both of my kids were in the hospital with pneumonia.

  one had to stay the night and the other was treated in the er.

  it was extremely stressful and worrisome to say the least.

  hiya and... i do not really know where to begin... currently a jw... slightly starting to fade... got a girlfriend baptised... i am baptised also... my head is a mess... i do not know what to believe anymore... never really fully trusted elders as it comes to 'leading the flock'... got burned a few times with their ... decisions etc.

  read a few articles in here about their alleged false beliefs... do not really know what to do... wondered if any of you felt like that at any point... when something that you trusted and followed most of your life... does not seem to be what you thought it was... .

  I do not mean to sound dramatic but it is almost like part of your world has / is falling apart... is it not?

  It does feel that way but this too shall pass.

  I second LWT's advice. I read non-stop for a year, then took another year to wake my husband up. It's not easy but worth the effort.

  Is There A Sin That Is Justifiably, For Excommunication Or Shunning?

  i know this question is a "slippery slope.

  " but i am wondering if you belive there is a sin, that merits excommunication?

  i vote child molesters and rapist and murding (a unjustifiable murder, serial killers, outright evil by community standards.

  Private organizations should have the right to boot members for whatever reason they see fit.

  I agree with this, however, they do not have the right to tell people not to speak with/associate with that person.

  This site should feel so ashamed to carry the name of JEHOVA because this is definitely not a witness to Jehovah.

  How do you think Jehovah feels about Jehovah's Witnesses claiming to represent him?

  Is There A Nice Way To Say, 'It's Dying?'?

  i got into one of those extended conversations with relatives i haven't spoken to in ages.

  it was full of things unsaid and careful avoidance of saying too much about the organization.

  lots of nice social hypocrisy, so nobody gets upset in the fairy-tale world of watchtower-ism.. is there any discreet, tactful, inoffensive way to tell them, "the organization is dying"?

  Secret Santa 2011

  last year i coordinated secret santa for jwn and am happy to do so again.

  however i would like to get organised sooner rather than later since international postage means that santas need to be allocated by the end of november to ensure that presents can be despatched in good time for christmas.

  if you wish to participate please let me know and indicate whether you are happy to post internationally or whether you would prefer someone in the same country.

  JW Survey Idea

  i was thinking on my way home from work today how it would be possible to distribute a link for cedars' survey without putting myself in a position to be "outed" as an apostate.

  i wonder if anyone in this community has the tech-skills to spam jehovah's witness e-mail addresses with a link to it.

  i'm not sure if this is ethically sound, but i don't see why it wouldn't work.
